You are considered a minor if you are below the age of 18, if you are not, click here to be referred back.
If you are a minor (below 18), you are to take a driving school that will teach you the basics of driving, and the necessary skills to do so. Each state should legally provide these services to the minors when they are in need of a license, and minors are required by law to take and participate in a school. They are also to take the same steps from the previous page.
Please know that this page also applies to adults.
You are to (for minors):
You are to not take anything with you during school classroom time, unless otherwise told.
During your driving course test:
You are to bring your ID each time you drive.
You are to drive with the instructor at all times.
You are to not be distracted with any electronic device or unauthorized items told by your school.
You are to follow all traffic laws and instructions.
Practice at least a total of 30 hours outside school time.
By federal law, you are to drive during school at least 5-9 times, with 1-3 hours behind the wheel, depending on your state law.
You are to pay a fee of $420.
If you are not bringing your own vehicle, you are to pay an extra $120. If you do, you are forwarded to free charge.
The license expires once you become an adult.
You are to (for adults):
Bring any legal documents that show a parent relationship with your child AND a valid ID. Any others can be requested by the school depending on the state or local law.
You are to have a valid Driver's license before taking the child to their driving school.
Bring any form of citizenship in state level.
You are to provide the necessary transport of your son to and from the school.
A license for minors are different and can be recognized when a license is for a minor due to their various details found in them. They should receive their license in a few days.
