How does a business license work?

There are three major steps to follow: B Permit, A Permit, and in rare cases, C Permit. After, you will have to complete paperwork for your license in order to be active. The only license we currently offer is called 'Business License A'. This license will grant you the ability to operate as a legal corporation in the Hegismton country.

C Permit can vary in certain circumstances if businesses require it. How do I know if I will require it, you will most likely be informed about it.

General Steps (B Permit): First permit given.

We will confirm that the form submitted is actually owned by the applicant's form by completing the "Registration of Business" process. The information that the DivOC and the ToL will be used during here (and others if applicable), some of the questions asked are: Who has the ownership, name of the business, relationships with business, goals, and future of itself. If this step is granted we will continue with the next step.

"The Survival Stage" - It is considered to last as long as 6 weeks, for a business to see its own capabilities on withstanding itself to different challenges and risks. If the business passes the 'Survival Stage', they would sign a contract. The contract can vary depending on the type of business and its objective, there is not that much difference. They will be supervised for a week by an inspector, checking that the business can function successfully. If it does, they will be informed.

"Reaching their Goals"
You will have to complete a set of  goals to be able and continue with the processes.

1. Small businesses:

   1. Achieve at least an income of $200 within 1 month and 15 days or can served more than 8 customers at once. Have a property that is considered valid for businesses, or to obtain a valid property during a period of 2-weeks. Have at least 1 parking spot.

2. Average businesses:

   1. Keep with the latest goal, achieve more than $800 in income or gained in total $3000 from profit within 1 month and 15 days. Have at least 3 parking spots.

3. Big businesses:

   1. Keep with the latest goal, achieve more than $800 in income or gained in total $3000 from profit within 1 month and 15 days. Have at least 3 parking spots.

"Waiting Period"

After a period of waiting for all these processes to be gone, and for the "cooldown" to stop: Total of 2-weeks You will be able to apply for their next permit (C Permit or A Permit), depending on the circumstances of your business and the ToL. Cooldown is done to give a small brief period of time between the processes.

You will get informed about when you can continue with the next permit.

General Steps (A Permit)

This process just checks if you have what it takes to operate the actual grounds of the business. You will get informed if you can continue with this process and all corporations are required to take the A Permit, when they already took the B Permit in the past. This is the second permit.

The Revision Stage:

During a period of 3-weeks, you will get evaluated to see the progress of the business, these things will be included:

• The success of the company - Profit of the business, total profit owned, amount of employees, parking lots, total in customers, if damages or negative behavior was involved.

• If the applicant is considered as a “good civilian“ - A good criminal record, and behavior of good.

• Held a valid B Permit, with no extreme punishments applied to it.

• Current holder of legal government documents of the government.

If everything is good, you can continue with the next process.

Land and Zone:

Make sure that if you own a physical building, it follows with the zoning regulations and land use requirements.

Your building should have:

• A server channel.

  • Should have a proper name and description of the channel.

• A clear objective of what you are trying to achieve with such building.

• A well-functioning and stable building, inspected by the Construction Team (with a certification).

• Should comply with the state and local laws.

• Be compliant with the federal laws.

You will receive a notification from the Division of Complains of the results.

What classifies as a physical building?

A channel that is under a category, with a specific use that involves your business. In order for your building to nto be considered as a physical building, you will have to own a channel that is not below any specific category, by boosting the server.

Health Department Approval:

You will require an approval by the Health Department if your business requires be accepted if health issues can be involved. You will be informed if they fall into this section.

THESE businesses are required to obtain an approval: Restaurants, food establishments, healthcare providers, salons.

Occupational of for Profession:

You will require an approval in certain occupations or professions that are considered to fall into these categories. You will be informed if they fall into this section.

THESE individuals are required to obtain an approval: Doctors, lawyers, accountants, engineers, real estate agents.

General Steps (C Permit)

For extra processes that if the Division of Complains informed you to take it, you will have to take it. The Permit offers extra information and special rights to your business if it really needs it. Make sure that you already completed the cooldown from before and that your past permit is valid. Third permit given.

Environmental Protection:

Some businesses require extensive work that may violate the environmental laws. Having environmental protection is crucial and learning how to maintain your business better in this case, is much better.

THESE businesses are required to obtain an approval: Factory-related, manufacturing, or chemical processing related, or for other reason required.

A ‘Environmental Protection’ will provide you with the rights to use these types of businesses for its purpose, but extensive/extreme use of the protection will make this protection invalid.

This is not allowed to be used consecutively for more than 1-week or be used in total of 3 months (renewal will be required).

Fire Department Approval

Instances where fire can be present, the Fire Department (state or local) should give an approval of whether your business is protected against fire, and that knows what to do in case of one.

THESE businesses are required to obtain an approval: IF the business is located in an open public space.

You will be required present a class certification of 2-weeks completion on fire safety, hosted by your state or local fire department.

It is recommended to obtain one. The approval will only expire if the Fire Department decides that your business is not safe to operate/does not follow the fire regulations on what to do.

Transportation Involvement

If your business requires transportation services, you will be required to obtain a 'Transportation Involvement Permit' for the required necessity.

You will need:

1. A valid license.

2. A ‘Environmental Protection’ permit.

3. Adults can only operate the transportation areas.

THESE businesses are required to obtain an approval: Trucking companies, logistics firms, or other businesses that requires use of transportation.

Your permit of this section will expire if there are illegal or unauthorized involvement that makes porting the use of the ‘Transportation Involvement’ wrong.

Home Occupation

If your business is being operated in a home-based property, you are legally binded to apply for permission to use that property for corporation related.

THESE businesses are required to obtain an approval: Operating from a home-based/residential property.

You are to opt out of this approval once your property operating under a residential property.

Special-Use Zone

If your business is required or involves specific activities or events, this approval will help you.

THESE businesses are required to obtain an approval: For special areas that are so uncommon for a business to settle in, areas far away from your main business area, events, or outdoor main Hegismton markets.

General Steps (Business License A):

To apply for this license, make sure that you already have each permit required and that the last permit given is still valid, including that the completion of the cooldown period. To apply for a 'Business License A', you should wait until you receive a notice by the Division of Complains confirming that the ToL has accepted their request.

After, you should wait until your license. Congratulations for your license.
